The present research analyzed the discursive formations surrounding the term "desfem" by capturing news and reports from websites over the last five years. This was done to gain an understanding of the process of identity construction for individuals who identify with the term, as well as the potential gender-based violence they experience, given that they are women who perform non-femininity in ways that deviate from the culturally normalized standards imposed by society. The study will also examine perspectives on multiple forms of femininity, what is considered to embody or deviate from feminine characteristics, and the resulting prejudices. Another strategy is to analyze how questions of identity are constructed, taking into account the plurality of conceptions surrounding the themes of body, sex, and gender, as studied by contemporary theorists on gender and sexuality. Thus, the discursive formations of the term "desfem" on the internet will also be analyzed.
